How We Turned a DIY Kit Into a Whole New Life

Hey y’all, Gabe here.

We’ve been pouring a lot lately.

Candles, soap... and a whole lot of heart into this business.

And every now and then, I like to pause and remember how all of this even began.

Because roots matter.

They’re what hold us steady.

They’re what keep us grounded when things get wild.

Embrace Candles Origin Story

Truth is, we started Embrace because we wanted something that was ours.

A family business.

Something we could build together with our hands, our time, and our full hearts.

Sara poured the very first candle in our kitchen.

It was one of those super basic DIY kits.

Definitely not high-end. But it sparked something.

Looking back, that was the moment everything shifted.

That’s how we turned a DIY kit into a whole new life.

Even with that little kit, we realized quality really matters.

To be honest, I never planned to pour candles myself.

Rather than spend time trying to master the craft, outsource them to someone else seemed like the better option.

And we actually tried that.

But the minute we held those candles in our hands, we knew it wasn’t right.

We could do better.

So we did.

I cleared out a room next to my multimedia studio and turned it into our first little candle-making space.

Our friends showed up.

They became the first members of what we now call our candle community.

And that spark?

It spread.

Eventually, we moved into Lowe Mill.

The first of many set-ups at Lowe Mill.

Not just to expand—but to root ourselves even deeper into a place full of art, people, and possibility.

That was a big leap.

But one we were ready for.

Because being grounded doesn’t mean staying still.

It means knowing who you are.

What you stand for.

What you’ll return to, no matter what season you’re in.

For us, it’s simple:

Fragrance.

Feeling.

Family.

And the joy of watching someone’s eyes light up when they pour their very own candle for the first time.

Fallin In Love

Fall candles are coming in hot.

All the familiar favorites you know and love from Embrace Candles are making their return:

Three of our candles in our Fall Collection.

Woods Man.

Fireside Mellow.

Apple Cider Farmhouse.

A Perfect Pear.

And this year, we’ve got something brand new on the menu.

Sara’s been in the studio cooking up something special:

Autumn Romance.

It’s cozy. It’s crisp. It’s everything you want fall to smell like.

And for the first time, you can grab it as a candle and a perfume.

So whether you're lighting up your living room or spritzing on the vibes, you’ll be wrapped in the warmth of the season.
