Job Description - Shopkeeper

We are looking to hire a Shopkeeper to help us maintain a 5 star customer service rating. As a Shopkeeper you will have the main responsibility of leading our customer's experience in the candle shop. Helping them have a welcoming experience is the #1 priority.

Job Type (Part-time Employee)

Shifts are available Wednesday through Saturday from 11am - 7pm. Weekly hours range from a 16 to 32 hours per week. Hours and shift times may increase based on seasonal shop needs. 

 

General Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from the studio

• Exceptional communicator (talking and listening)

• U.S. work authorization

• Regular attendance

• Ability to work well with others in a retail space

Physical Requirements

• Exceptional fine motor skills when handling liquids over 180 degrees

• When needed the ability to follow recipes and multiply

• Ability to occasionally lift 50-60 pound packages

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

 

Responsibilities

• Help us maintain a happy environment and 5-star rating though excellent customer service.

• Able to identify fragrances by smell and guide customers to choices they will enjoy

• Maintain the candle shop through regular restocking and cleaning

• Booking and welcoming workshop attendees into our shop

• Helping to process online orders

• Helping to promote the shop and/or products through our social channels.

 

Education/Credentials

• High school education/GED required

This is an entry level opportunity as you will be an early employee in the candle shop. We are in our second year of growth and this phase is intense but fun!
