When you think of summer what are the first things that come to mind? For a lot of people, it is the heat of the sun on their skin, a hint of sunscreen in the air, the crisp scent of lemonade with a splash of rum, and the sound of children playing outside.
This shows us just how related our memory recall is to our senses. In fact, smells can make you recall specific memories triggering happiness.
In recent years many people have begun to turn to essential oils to increase their physical and mental well-being. Although summer time can be a time to relax, to many however it is a time of more stress at home.
Often Aromatherapy is used to decrease stress and anxiety, reduce nausea and pain, and improve quality of sleep.
A simple way to take care of your mental well-being is with a bit of aromatherapy in your day. Keeping aromas such as fresh pineapple, or crisp watermelon & lemonade can help wash away some of your stress.
