When your body needs fuel, you feed it food. When your vehicle needs fuel, you supply it gasoline. Each entity needs a source of fuel to use as a catalyst that initiates a successful operation. Your body utilizes fuel and converts it to energy, and your vehicle utilizes gasoline to produce motion. So, what do you fuel your spirit with as it waits for what has yet to manifest? The answer is faith.
Faith stands in conjunction with determination, consistency, dedication, and the heart to endure the test of time. My mom’s favorite text from the most read book in the world is, ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ In essence, faith is the belief in the unknown with the assurance that one will see what they seek. Faith is also coupled with a confidence that can only be gained when there is a peace reached within, that everything will work according to plan.
Think of it this way, faith can be your own personal, invisible cheerleader. To be there to encourage and remind you that if you just hold on a little while longer, you will be able to see your heart’s desire. It can be there in the times where your head dares to hang low because you have grown weary on your journey, and it whispers in your ear, ‘chin up!’ Or in the times when you are tempted to reluctantly resort to an alternative plan, even though you gave your all initially, here comes your number one supporter.
Faith is one of the most humbling tools that you could ever choose from to build and progress through life.
Faith is a life preserver in the vast sea of mystery that life presents us with to keep our dreams and desires afloat. There is a power that lies within the arena of faith that can and will propel you into a future that is created by your wildest dreams. The question is, do you have enough faith to believe that you will see it?
